This lampholder comes in 3 main sections, comprising of; the cap which is the section that screws onto the fixing of the light fitting (or cord grip for a pendant lamp), the centre connection unit where you will connect the live (Brown) and neutral (Blue) and Earth (Yellow and Green) wires, then the top section which will screw over the connection unit and onto the cap. Not to forget the locking ring (Thicker Ring) that holds the cap and skirt together and alongside the shade ring (Thinner Ring), it can be used to clamp a shade to this lampholder.
Important Information Regarding This Lampholder
This SBC | B15 lampholder is much smaller than the regular bayonet cap size, therefore the traditional BC | B22 bulbs will not fit. Please ensure you require the small bayonet cap lampholder. Product dimensions are shown in the images and description.
This is a threaded lampholder meaning you can attach a shade. To fit a shade, place the shade carrier ring onto the lampholder above the skirt, then screw on the shade ring. This securely clamps the shade in place.
Min Shade Hole Size: 19mm
Max Shade Hole Size: 23mm
Please be aware that most shades will have a larger hole to fit a BC lampholder, therefore, you may require and reducing ring in order to reduce the hole size (29mm to 20mm) so that it will be compatible with this smaller SBC lampholder.
