Terms and Conditions

Definitions

In these Conditions, the following words shall have the following meanings:

  • The Buyer / You: The person(s), firm, or company who purchases the goods from the Company.
  • The Company / We / Us: Margin Services Ltd (trading as Lampspares).
  • Contract: Any contract between the Company and the Buyer for the sale of goods, incorporating these Conditions.
  • Goods: Any goods agreed in the Contract to be supplied to the Buyer by the Company (including any part or parts of them).

Payment

Payment for goods can be made using one of the following methods:

  • Credit card
  • Debit card
  • BACS (please contact us for this option)

Please note: Due to international bank charges, any international BACS payment will incur a £7 processing fee.

Pricing

All prices include VAT but exclude delivery costs.

Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if, for example:

  • we have insufficient stock to fulfil your order;
  • we do not deliver to your area; or
  • one or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical or supplier pricing error.

If we cancel your contract, we will notify you by email and refund any payments made as soon as possible, and in any event within 30 days of your order.

Title and Risk

You become the owner of the goods once they have been delivered to you and full payment has been received in cleared funds. Once goods are delivered, they are held at your own risk, and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.

Liability

We are not responsible if you are unable to access our website due to any event beyond our control, including (without limitation) internet service provider issues, browser errors, or internet downtime.

While we monitor and maintain the website, we cannot guarantee that it will be error-free, continuously available, or free from viruses. You are responsible for implementing suitable IT security safeguards (including antivirus software) appropriate to your requirements.

Guarantees and Warranties

All products are covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. We will endeavour to transfer to you the benefit of any warranty or guarantee given to us.

Please note that due to the nature of some products, certain items are classed as consumables and are affected by use, care, and fitting. Items that fall into this category include (but are not limited to) light bulbs, tools, screws, and similar components. These may not be covered by a warranty period.

Faulty Goods

For electronic items such as dimmer switches:

  • We will provide a free returns label for testing.
  • If testing confirms the item is functioning correctly, a refund will be issued less £3 (to cover return postage).
  • If the item is found to be faulty, we will offer a full refund or replacement.

Custom-Made Products

Custom RAL Colour Cables

We are unable to accept returns of custom RAL colour cables unless the product is faulty. Variations in colour cannot be accepted as a fault, as the colouring process may result in slight differences. This is due to oil-based ink applied to PVC, which can fade or darken as it dries. As such, a 100% colour match cannot be guaranteed.
