BC | B22 | Bayonet Cap Antique Brass Switched Lampholder with 3 Part Cord Grip
This BC | B22 | Bayonet Cap Antique Brass Switched Lampholder with 3 Part Cord Grip is ideal for restoring classic Anglepoise-style lamps, where the fitting sits partially inside the rear of the shade and the cable exits from the back. Designed for easy retrofitting, it requires an approximate 28mm hole in the shade, matching the standard size used in traditional Anglepoise lamp designs. It can also be used creatively in pendant lighting setups. Many customers install it as a pendant but hanging lower down, making the integrated switch easily accessible, perfect for applications such as bedside pendant reading lights.
This lampholder comes in 3 main parts. It features a built-in cord grip on the cap of the lampholder helping to secure the cable and reduce strain on the internal connections, the centre connection unit where you will connect the live (Brown) and neutral (Blue) and Earth (Yellow and Green) wires, and the skirt which will screw over the connection unit and onto the cap. Not to forget the locking ring (Thicker Ring) that holds the cap and skirt together and alongside the shade ring (Thinner Ring), it can be used to clamp a shade to this lampholder.
Important Information Regarding Lampholder
This is a BC | B22 lampholder with an integrated switch for easy on/off control at the lampholder. It is also a threaded lampholder meaning you can attach a shade. To fit a shade, place the shade carrier ring onto the lampholder above the skirt, then screw on the shade ring. This securely clamps the shade in place.

Safety Info: Do not try to force the push bar without a lamp fitted, it will not slide. Also, as this is a metal lampholder, please ensure you use a 3 core mains flex to provide an earth connection to this lampholder.
