Shade Reducers

Shop lampshade reducer rings to fit a shade with a larger opening onto a smaller lampholder. Also called lampshade reducing rings or adapter rings, these fittings help you match an existing shade to your table lamp, floor lamp or pendant fitting.

Choose from metal and plastic options, including reducers for fitting a shade with a 40mm opening onto a suitable 29mm lampholder fitting. We also stock a reducer for adapting a 29mm shade opening to a 20mm fitting for B15 small bayonet cap lampholders.

Before ordering, measure your lampshade’s centre opening and check the shade-mounting dimensions of your lampholder. Compare these with the product’s stated fitting sizes, as the reducer’s overall outside diameter may be larger than the opening it adapts.
